Turn onto the B3 road and follow the signs to Karen. As you approach Karen, look for signs directing you to Oloolua Forest. The entrance to The Oloolua Nature Trail will be on Karen Rd. There is usually no entry fee for the trail, but check the official website for any updates or special events.
Public Transportation
For public transport, first, take a matatu (shared taxi) or bus from your location in Central Highlands to Nairobi's Kencom bus station. From Kencom, board a matatu heading towards Karen. Make sure to tell the driver that you are going to The Oloolua Nature Trail or Oloolua Forest. The fare to Karen should be around 50-100 KES. After reaching Karen, you may need to walk or take a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to the entrance of the trail. The boda-boda ride will cost approximately 100-200 KES.
