To reach Chyulu Hills National Park by car, start from Nairobi. Take the Mombasa Road (A104) heading southeast. After roughly 140 km, you will see signs for the Machakos turnoff; continue on the A104 until you reach the turnoff for the Chyulu Hills. Follow the signs towards the park entrance. Note that the roads can be bumpy, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for the best experience. Parking is available at designated areas near the park entrance.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Nairobi to Mtito Andei, which is the nearest major town to Chyulu Hills. The bus ride takes approximately 4-5 hours and costs around 500-800 KES, depending on the bus company. Once in Mtito Andei, hire a local taxi or boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the Chyulu Hills entrance, which is about 30 km away. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically ranges from 1,500-2,500 KES.
