For those using public transport, begin your journey by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Nairobi to the nearest town near Chyulu Hills, such as Mtito Andei. Once in Mtito Andei, you can hire a local taxi or ask about matatus heading towards Isara. The ride to Isara will take about 30-45 minutes. Upon arrival in Isara, you may need to walk or hire a local guide or taxi to take you to Eliata Camp, which is just a short distance away.
