Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you're driving from Mombasa city center, head north on Moi Avenue and take the A14 highway towards Malindi. Continue straight for about 15 kilometers until you reach the Bamburi area. Look for signs to Haller Park, which will be on your right side just after reaching Majengo. There is parking available at the park. Note that there may be an entrance fee of approximately 200 KES for adults and 100 KES for children.
Public Transportation (Matatus)
To reach Haller Park via public transport, you can catch a matatu (shared taxi) from Mombasa city center heading towards Bamburi. Look for matatus with 'Bamburi' or 'Mtwapa' signage. The fare is usually around 50 KES. Once you arrive at the Bamburi junction, you can walk towards Haller Park, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the road signs for easy navigation.
Taxi or Ride-Hailing Services
For a more convenient option, consider using taxi services or ride-hailing apps like Uber or Bolt. Simply input 'Haller Park, Majengo, Mombasa' as your destination. The fare will vary based on your starting location, but expect to pay around 300-600 KES from central Mombasa. This option will take you directly to the entrance of the park.
Use Haller Park as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
