Car

Once you park, take a boat from Mokowe Jetty to Lamu Island. The boat ride costs approximately 300 KES and takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Lamu Island, you can walk to Lamu Fort, which is located centrally in the town.
Public Transport (Bus)

For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Mombasa to Lamu. The buses leave from the Mombasa bus terminal and the journey takes around 6-8 hours.
