Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Machakos. Head east on Machakos-Kangundo Road (A109) and continue for about 20 kilometers. At the junction, take a right onto C96 road towards Kyuluni. Drive for another 15 kilometers. Nzambani Rock will be on your left, easily recognizable due to its unique shape. Parking is available near the rock.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Nzambani Rock using public transport, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Machakos to Kyuluni. The matatus leave from the Machakos bus station and run frequently. The fare is approximately 100-150 KES. Once you arrive in Kyuluni, you can either walk or hire a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Nzambani Rock, which is about 5 kilometers away from the town center. The boda boda fare should be around 50-100 KES.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Kyuluni, you can choose to walk to Nzambani Rock. The walk is about 5 kilometers and will take approximately 1 hour. Head east from the town center on C96 road. The path is mostly straightforward, and you will be able to see Nzambani Rock from a distance as you approach.
