Car
From Moshi, take the A23 highway heading north. Drive for about 12 kilometers until you reach the junction to the Materuni area. Turn left onto the road marked for Materuni. Continue on this road for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Materuni Waterfall. There may be a small parking fee of around 2,000 TZS. Make sure to have cash ready as this may not be accepted on card.
Public Transportation (Dala-Dala)
In Moshi, head to the Dala-Dala station and catch a Dala-Dala heading towards Materuni. The fare is usually around 1,500 TZS. Inform the driver that you want to go to Materuni Waterfall. The Dala-Dala will drop you off at the entrance to the waterfall area. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to the waterfall itself. Make sure to ask locals for directions if you're unsure.
Walking
If you're near the Materuni area, you can walk to the waterfall. From the Materuni village center, follow the signs towards the waterfall. The path is well-marked and takes about 30 minutes to walk. The scenery is beautiful, and you'll have the chance to enjoy the lush surroundings on your way to the waterfall.
