Car Rental
If you are renting a car, start your journey from Moshi, which is a central hub for travelers in the Kilimanjaro Region. Drive southeast on the A23 road towards the town of Same. It’s approximately a 2-hour drive (about 90 km). Once in Same, follow the signs to the Pare Mountains. You will take the B1 road from Same and continue for about 30 km until you reach the entrance to the Pare Mountains. Make sure to have a GPS or map application handy for navigation.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Moshi, you can take a bus to Same, which departs frequently from the Moshi bus station. The bus ride will take around 2-3 hours and costs approximately 5,000-10,000 TZS.
