Car
To reach Stella Point by car, head towards Moshi, the gateway town for Kilimanjaro climbing. From Moshi, take the A23 road towards Arusha. After about 30 minutes, turn left onto the B1 road towards Kilimanjaro National Park. There is an entrance fee to enter the park, costing approximately $70 for foreign visitors. Continue on the B1 until you reach the Marangu Gate, which is one of the main entry points for climbers. Here, you'll need to register and pay for your climbing permit. After completing the registration, follow the marked trails through the park. Stella Point can be reached by hiking from the Kibo Hut, which is a common overnight stop for climbers. The last leg of the journey involves a steep ascent, so ensure you are prepared for the trek.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus or shuttle from Dar es Salaam or Arusha to Moshi. Once in Moshi, you can hire a taxi or use a local dala-dala (shared minibus) to reach the Marangu Gate of Kilimanjaro National Park. The bus fare from Arusha to Moshi is about $5, while a taxi from Moshi to Marangu Gate will cost around $30-$40. Upon arriving at the Marangu Gate, you will need to pay the entrance fee (approximately $70) and secure your climbing permit. From the Marangu Gate, the trek to Stella Point begins; it is advisable to join a guided tour for safety and navigation.
