Getting There

Walking
Starting from the Nyamasaria market area, head south towards the main road (Kisumu - Kakamega Road). At the junction, turn left (east) onto the main road and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs for Kisumu Impala Sanctuary on your right. Continue walking until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right fork (towards Impala Sanctuary) and walk for another 500 meters until you arrive at Sundown Point, which will be a short walk from the entrance of the sanctuary.

Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
From any location in Nyamasaria, you can easily find a boda boda. Simply ask the rider to take you to Sundown Point at Kisumu Impala Sanctuary. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes depending on the traffic. Be sure to agree on a fare beforehand; the average cost should be around 100-200 Kenyan Shillings. The boda boda will drop you off at the entrance of the sanctuary, from where you can walk to Sundown Point.

Matatu (Shared Minibus)
To reach Sundown Point via matatu, head to the nearest matatu stage in Nyamasaria. Look for a matatu heading towards Kisumu town and board it. Get off at the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary stop. The fare should be approximately 50 Kenyan Shillings. After getting off, walk towards the sanctuary entrance, and then follow the signs to Sundown Point, which is a short distance from the entrance.
