If you are traveling by car within Lake Bogoria, head towards the main road that runs around Lake Bogoria. From the main entrance of Lake Bogoria, drive towards the direction of Muruku. Follow the signs towards Siron. After approximately 10 kilometers, look for the coordinates 4G2G+737, Muruku, Siron on your GPS or map application. The Ngororo cave is located very close to these coordinates, so keep an eye out for any local signage that may lead you to the cave entrance. Parking may be available nearby, but be prepared for a short walk.
Public Transportation
To reach Ngororo cave using public transportation, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from your location within Lake Bogoria to Siron. Matatus can be found at designated stops and typically charge around 100-200 Kenyan Shillings depending on your starting point. Once you arrive in Siron, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you to the Ngororo cave. The boda-boda ride will cost approximately 50-100 Kenyan Shillings. Make sure to show the driver the coordinates 4G2G+737, Muruku, Siron, or ask locals for directions to the cave.
