Walking
From the main Lamu town square, head towards the seafront and turn left onto the beach promenade. Walk along the coast for about 15 minutes until you reach Shela Beach. Once you arrive at Shela Beach, continue walking along the beach path until you see the entrance to Shela village. Enter the village and follow the winding paths that lead you through the local shops and houses. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Lamu Road. After about 10 minutes of walking through the village, you will reach Lamu Road. Turn left onto Lamu Road, and The Red Pepper House should be a short walk ahead on your right.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle in Lamu, start from the main square and ride towards the seafront. Turn left onto the beach promenade and cycle along the beach for approximately 2 kilometers, taking in the views of the ocean. When you reach Shela Beach, continue past the beach huts and follow the path into Shela village. Keep riding through the village, making sure to follow the signs towards Lamu Road. Once you reach Lamu Road, turn left and continue for a short distance. The Red Pepper House will be located on your right.

For a unique experience, you can hire a dhow from the main harbor in Lamu. Arrange for a dhow ride to Shela Beach, which should take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Shela Beach, disembark and follow the beach path into the village. Navigate through the village following the signs to Lamu Road, then turn left onto Lamu Road. The Red Pepper House will be a short distance ahead on your right.
