If you are driving from the nearest major town, Narok, head southwest on the A104 highway towards Siana. The drive takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. Once you reach Siana, look for signs directing you to Maasai Mara National Reserve. The entrance to the reserve is about 30 minutes from Siana. To travel by public transport, take a bus from Nairobi to Narok. Buses leave frequently from the Nairobi Central Bus Station, and the journey takes about 3 to 4 hours.
