If you are traveling by car within Selous Game Reserve, start from the Selous Game Reserve entrance at the Rufiji River. Head southwest on the main gravel road, following the signs for Lobo Wildlife Lodge. The lodge is approximately 50 kilometers from the entrance. The drive should take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way and ensure to drive slowly. Upon approaching Lobo Wildlife Lodge, you will see signs directing you to the lodge entrance.

For those traveling via public transportation, the best option is to take a shared taxi or minibus from the nearest town, Morogoro, to the Selous Game Reserve entrance. From Morogoro, you can find transport services that operate to the reserve. Once you arrive at the Selous Game Reserve entrance, you may need to hire a local guide or ranger who can provide transport (often in a safari vehicle) directly to Lobo Wildlife Lodge. This could incur an additional cost of around $50 to $100, depending on the distance and the service provider. The total travel time from Morogoro to the lodge can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours.
