Car
If you are driving from Marsabit Town, start by heading east on the Marsabit-Moyale Road (A2). After approximately 20 kilometers, you will see signs for Marsabit National Park. Turn left onto the park access road (follow the signs) and continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the park entrance. Keep in mind that you may need to pay an entrance fee at the gate, which is typically around KES 1,000 for residents and KES 1,500 for non-residents. Ensure your vehicle has a spare tire and enough fuel, as service stations may be sparse in the area.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Marsabit Town, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Moyale. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Marsabit National Park entrance. The fare is usually around KES 200-300. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach the entrance, you will need to pay the entrance fee. Be aware that matatus may not run frequently, so it’s advisable to check the schedule in advance.
