    If you are driving from Mombasa Beach, start by heading south on the main road (Moi Avenue) towards the city center. Continue until you reach the junction with Nkrumah Road. Turn left onto Nkrumah Road and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Kenyatta Avenue, then continue straight onto the Mombasa-Malindi Highway (A14). After approximately 10 kilometers, take the exit towards Mombasa Beach. Follow the signs towards Ras Makamaiwe, and you will find the coastal reefs at XM49+J74.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the coastal reefs via public transportation, start by finding a matatu (shared taxi) at Mombasa Beach. Look for a matatu heading to Mombasa Town. The fare is usually around 50-100 KES. Once you arrive in Mombasa Town, transfer to another matatu that is heading towards Malindi. Inform the driver that you want to stop near Ras Makamaiwe. The fare for this leg will be approximately 100-200 KES. Get off at the nearest point to XM49+J74 and walk to the coastal reefs.
