Car

If you are travelling by car within Mount Elgon National Park, start from the park entrance at Suam. Drive towards the Kapsokwony town, which is about 12 km away. From Kapsokwony, continue on the road leading to the hot spring. Follow the signs directing you towards the Mount Elgon Hot Spring. The last 5 km may involve a rough road, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for such conditions.
Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, board a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale, Uganda, heading towards Kapsokwony. The matatus leave frequently and the journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Kapsokwony, you can hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you the last portion of the journey to the hot spring, which is approximately 5 km away. Be prepared to negotiate the fare with the boda-boda operator, as it can vary.
Walking

If you are feeling adventurous and are already near the hot spring, walking from Kapsokwony is an option. The walk is approximately 5 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours.
