If you're traveling by car, start from Nanyuki town. Take the A2 highway towards Nyeri. After approximately 25 km, turn onto the Kanyoni Road, which leads into the Mount Kenya National Park. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the park entrance. There is an entrance fee of approximately 1,000 KES for Kenyan residents and 3,000 KES for non-residents. After passing through the entrance, follow the signs towards the Lake Ellis trailhead. The road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Drive for another 12 km to reach the Lake Ellis parking area.
