Car
If you are driving from Nanyuki, head southeast on the Nanyuki-Nairobi Road (A2) for about 20 km until you reach the turn-off to Mount Kenya National Park. Turn left onto the road marked for Mount Kenya National Park and follow the signs. Continue driving for approximately 15 km, where you will reach the park entrance. Be prepared to pay an entrance fee (around KSh 1,500 for non-residents). Once inside the park, follow the signs to Neema's Eye, which is a hiking area located within the national park. The road can be bumpy, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation
To reach Neema's Eye using public transportation, start from Nanyuki town. Take a matatu (shared minibus) heading towards the Mount Kenya National Park entrance. The cost for the matatu ride is approximately KSh 200-300. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee (around KSh 1,500 for non-residents). From the entrance, you can either hike to Neema's Eye, which is a scenic route, or hire a local guide or vehicle for a short trip to the site. Make sure to confirm the availability of guides or vehicles at the entrance.
