Look for the sign that indicates the turn-off to the Mau-Mau Cave, which is unpaved. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the cave entrance. Make sure to have a map or GPS device handy, as this area can be remote.
Public Transportation
To reach Mau-Mau Cave via public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki town heading towards Meru. Ask the conductor to drop you at the turn-off for Mau-Mau Cave. This ride will cost approximately 100-200 KES. From the drop-off point, you will need to walk about 5 kilometers down the unpaved road to reach the cave. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes and carry enough water.
Guided Tour
