Car
If you're traveling by car, you can start your journey from Nanyuki town. Head southeast on the A2 road towards Karatina. After approximately 28 kilometers, take the exit towards the A3 road leading to Nyeri. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for Mount Kenya Forest. Follow the signs directing you to the forest entrance. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain as some parts of the road may be unpaved.

Public Transportation
To reach Mount Kenya Forest using public transport, you can catch a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki to Nyeri. The journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Nyeri, you’ll need to take another matatu heading towards Karatina but alight at the junction for Mount Kenya Forest. From there, you may need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to the forest entrance as public transport may not take you directly to the entrance.
