Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Nanyuki town, which is a common base for visitors to Mount Kenya. Head southeast on the Nanyuki-Nairobi highway (A2) for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the Chogoria Route. Look for a sign indicating Chogoria. Turn left onto the Chogoria Road. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the Chogoria gate, where you will need to pay a park entry fee (approximately 1,000 KES for non-residents). Make sure to have cash as credit card facilities may not be available.

For those using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki town heading towards Chogoria. The matatus leave from the main bus station in Nanyuki. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs around 200 KES. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Chogoria gate. Once you arrive, you will need to pay the park entry fee (approximately 1,000 KES for non-residents) to access the Chogoria Route.
