Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Nanyuki town. Head southeast on the A2 highway towards Meru. Continue for about 80 kilometers until you reach the town of Meru. Once you arrive in Meru, look for the signposts directing you to Meru Museum, which is located in the center of town near the Meru County offices. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Meru Museum via public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki to Meru. The matatus leave from the Nanyuki bus station, and the fare is approximately 100-200 KES per person. The journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Meru matatu stage, you can walk to the museum, which is about a 10-minute walk. Look for local signposts or ask locals for directions to the museum.

If you are already in Meru and close to the town center, you can easily walk to Meru Museum. The museum is located on the main road in Meru town. Simply head towards the center of Meru, and you will find the museum near the Meru County offices. It’s advisable to ask locals for exact directions if needed, as they will be familiar with the area.
