Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the Mount Longonot National Park entrance, head east on the main road (B3) for approximately 5 km. Look for signs pointing to The Great Rift Valley View Point. The viewpoint is located on the left side of the road, identifiable by a parking area. Parking is free.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach The Great Rift Valley View Point using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mount Longonot to Naivasha. The fare is generally around Ksh 100-150. Inform the driver you want to stop at the viewpoint. Once you reach the B3 highway, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to The Great Rift Valley View Point, which is about a 10-minute walk from the main road. Follow the signs to the viewpoint.

  • Walking

    If you find yourself near the viewpoint after being dropped off by public transport or driving, you can walk from the B3 highway. Follow the dirt path leading from the road towards the viewpoint.
