Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car within Lake Nakuru National Park, start from the main entrance of the park. Drive along the main road that leads through the park. Follow the signs pointing towards the various viewpoints. After about 6 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers, and you will see signs for Rift Valley Viewpoint indicating a turn to the right. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the viewpoint parking area. The viewpoint is well-marked, and parking is available nearby.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will first need to take a matatu (shared taxi) or a bus from Nakuru town to the Lake Nakuru National Park entrance. The fare is typically around 100-200 KES. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you may need to pay an entrance fee, which is approximately 500 KES for residents and 1,200 KES for non-residents. After entering the park, you can either hire a local guide who will take you to Rift Valley Viewpoint or join a scheduled park tour that includes this stop. The guide will take you along the main road through the park, and you will follow the same directions as those traveling by car to reach the viewpoint.
