If you are traveling by car, start from Nakuru town. Head southeast on the A104 road towards Naivasha. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Longonot. Follow the signs to Mount Longonot National Park entrance. At the park entrance, you will need to pay an entry fee (approximately 30 KES for Kenyan citizens and 500 KES for non-residents). Continue driving until you reach the parking area at the foot of Longonot Volcano. From there, you'll see the trailhead leading to the crater.

To reach Longonot Volcano using public transport, start at Nakuru town. Take a matatu (shared minibus) heading to Naivasha. The ride costs around 100 KES and takes about 30 minutes. Inform the driver to drop you off at the Longonot turn-off. From there, you may need to walk approximately 2 km to the entrance of Mount Longonot National Park.
