Getting There

Matatu
From the Nairobi city center, head to the Kencom bus station. Look for matatus heading to Ngong; they are typically numbered 111 or 24. Take one of these matatus, and it will take you through the Ngong Road. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach the Ngong town area, disembark at the Ngong town stage. From there, you'll find boda-bodas (motorcycle taxis) that can take you up the hills. Agree on a fare before you get on.

If you prefer to go straight from Ngong town to Ngong Hills, take a boda-boda. The ride from Ngong town to the entrance of Ngong Hills takes about 15-20 minutes. Ensure you wear a helmet and negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 200-300 Kenyan Shillings.

For the more adventurous, you can hike from Ngong town to Ngong Hills. This will take about 1-2 hours depending on your fitness level. Head towards the Ngong Hills through the marked trails.
