Walking
If you are in Westlands, the easiest way to reach Uhuru Gardens is by walking. Start from Westgate Mall, which is a central location. Head southeast on Sarit Center Road towards the junction with Waiyaki Way. Cross over to the other side of Waiyaki Way, and continue walking on the sidewalk. You will pass various shops and local eateries. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will reach the entrance of Uhuru Gardens, which is marked by a large archway. The gardens are open daily from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Public Bus
From Westlands, you can also take a public bus (matatu) heading towards Nairobi CBD. Head to the nearest matatu stop along Westlands Road. Look for a matatu labeled 'Nairobi CBD' or 'Uhuru Park'. The fare is approximately 50 KES. Once you board, inform the conductor that you want to get off at Uhuru Park. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. After getting off, it's a short walk towards Uhuru Gardens, which is adjacent to Uhuru Park.
