Getting There

Walking
Start at the Nakuru Town Centre, near Kenyatta Avenue. From here, head towards the Nakuru bus terminal. Look for a matatu (shared minibus) heading to 'Itare' or 'Kabarak' and board it. The fare is usually around 50-100 KES. Once you get to the Itare junction, disembark and ask locals for directions towards the Kerio Valley Viewpoint. The viewpoint is approximately a 30-minute walk from the junction, following the dirt path that leads uphill. You will see signs along the way directing you towards the viewpoint.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Nakuru town. Start at the Nakuru Town Centre and ride towards the Itare junction. Follow the main road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction. From there, take the dirt path leading up to the Kerio Valley Viewpoint. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and carry enough water, as the terrain can be challenging.
