From the center of Nakuru town, head southeast on Kenyatta Avenue towards the intersection with Moi Road. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the junction with the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway (A104). Cross the highway carefully, and then take a left towards the Nakuru National Park entrance. Walk along the highway for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Nakuru National Park. At this point, you can either walk through the park (ensure you have a park entry ticket) or take a guided tour if available. Once inside the park, follow the signs towards the Makalia Waterfalls, which is approximately 6 kilometers from the entrance. The path will lead you through scenic views and wildlife sightings, making the journey enjoyable.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Nakuru town. Start at the town center and head towards Kenyatta Avenue. Continue to the roundabout and take a left towards the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway (A104). Cycle along the highway for about 1.5 kilometers to reach the entrance of Nakuru National Park. Ensure you have your park entry ticket. Once in the park, follow the signs for Makalia Waterfalls, which is roughly 6 kilometers away. Cycling through the park will offer a unique perspective of the surroundings and allow you to enjoy the fresh air.

Public Transport (Matatu)
From Nakuru town, head to the matatu stage located near the bus terminus. Look for a matatu heading towards 'Nakuru National Park' or 'Elementaita.' Get on the matatu and inform the driver you wish to stop at the entrance of Nakuru National Park. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the park entrance, purchase your entry ticket. After entering the park, follow the signs for Makalia Waterfalls, which is about 6 kilometers from the entrance. Note: Make sure to confirm with the matatu driver or conductor about the stop at the park entrance.
