Wa gakenia is located just outside the town, approximately 5 kilometers from the center of Ol Joro Orok. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some roads may be rough.

To reach Wa gakenia using public transport, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Garissa to Ol Joro Orok. The journey may take around 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Ol Joro Orok, you can hire a boda boda (motorbike taxi) to take you to Wa gakenia, which is about 5 kilometers away. Make sure to negotiate the fare for the boda boda before starting your journey. Expect to pay around 200-300 KES for the ride.
