Car
If you are driving from Nyandarua Range to Ol Njorowa Gorge, start by heading towards the Nyandarua-Nakuru road. Follow the signs to Nakuru and drive for approximately 1 hour. Once you reach Nakuru, look for the exit towards the Northern Bypass (also known as the Nakuru-Eldoret road). Continue on this road for about 15 minutes until you reach the coordinates 483C+22R, Nakuru, which is the location of Ol Njorowa Gorge. Note that there is a small parking area near the gorge.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Nyandarua Range to Nakuru town. The journey will take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic and costs approximately KSh 100-200. Once you arrive in Nakuru, you can hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you directly to Ol Njorowa Gorge. The boda-boda ride will take about 15-20 minutes and typically costs around KSh 150-300. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Walking (from nearest drop-off point)
If you are dropped off by a matatu or boda-boda, be prepared to walk the last stretch to Ol Njorowa Gorge. From the nearest drop-off point, you may need to walk approximately 500 meters along a marked path leading to the gorge. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven. Follow the signs and ask locals if you need assistance.
