If you are driving to Hippo Point from Kisumu city center, head south on the Kisumu-Busia Road (A1). Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach a junction. Take a left turn onto the Hippo Point Road. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers, and you will see signs directing you to Hippo Point. The entrance is located near the lakeshore, with ample parking available.

From Kisumu city center, head to the main bus stage where matatus (shared minibuses) are available. Look for a matatu heading to Hippo Point or one that goes towards the Kisumu-Busia Road. The fare should be around 50-100 KES. Once you reach the junction near Hippo Point Road, you can either walk (approximately 3 km) or look for a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you directly to Hippo Point.
