Car
If you are driving, start from Kisumu city. Head southwest on the A1 towards Homa Bay. Continue on the A1 for about 50 kilometers until you reach the junction at Mbita. Take a left turn onto the B1 road towards Ruri. Follow the B1 for approximately 15 kilometers, and then take a right onto a local road leading directly to Ruri Hills. There may be some rough patches, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The total driving time should be around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic conditions.

Public Transportation
To reach Ruri Hills via public transportation, first, make your way to the Kisumu Bus Station. Find a matatu (shared minibus) heading to Homa Bay. The fare is approximately 100 KES. Once in Homa Bay, transfer to another matatu heading towards Mbita. The fare for this leg is about 50 KES. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Ruri. From there, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you the last 15 kilometers to Ruri Hills. The boda boda should cost around 300 KES. Keep in mind that waiting times for matatus can vary, so plan accordingly.
