Car
From Shaba National Reserve, head southwest on the main road towards the town of Isiolo. Continue on this road for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the junction at Ngare Marra. Take a left turn at the junction, following signs to Samburu National Reserve. Continue on this road for about 25 kilometers until you arrive at the entrance of Samburu National Reserve, located at JGCV+GMC, Samburu.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
To travel by matatu (shared taxi) from Shaba National Reserve to Samburu National Reserve, you will first need to get to the nearest town, which is Isiolo. You can find a matatu heading to Isiolo from the nearest village. The fare to Isiolo typically costs around 200 Kenyan Shillings. Once in Isiolo, look for a matatu that goes to Samburu. The ride should cost approximately 300 Kenyan Shillings, and it will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Inform the driver that you want to be dropped off at the entrance of Samburu National Reserve, located at JGCV+GMC.
