    Getting There

    Car

    If you are driving from Nanyuki, head north on the A2 highway. Continue for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the junction for the C63 road. Turn left onto the C63 and follow the signs for Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The entrance to the reserve is about 15 kilometers along this road. Make sure to have cash on hand for the entry fee.

    Public Transportation

    From Nanyuki, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Isiolo. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for Buffalo Springs. The fare should be around 200 KES. Once you reach the junction, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you the remaining 15 kilometers to the reserve entrance. Expect to pay around 500 KES for this part of the journey.

    For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Laikipia Plateau. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost approximately 3,000 KES to 4,000 KES depending on your starting point. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of Buffalo Springs National Reserve.
