Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Ferizaj, start at the Ferizaj Bus Station. Head south on Boulevard Nene Tereza for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection with Rruga Dëshmorët e Kombit. Turn right onto Rruga Dëshmorët e Kombit and walk straight for approximately 700 meters until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Rruga Mita Stojanovic. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer until you see signs for public transport. At this point, you'll want to catch a local bus heading towards Gjakova or Prishtina, as they usually have stops that connect to the Matka area.

• Public Transport

  Take a local bus from Ferizaj to Gjakova. Buses leave frequently from the Ferizaj Bus Station. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes. Once in Gjakova, look for a bus heading towards the direction of Matka (you may need to ask locals for the right bus, as schedules may vary). This bus will take you closer to the Canyon Matka area. Depending on the bus, you may need to get off at a nearby stop and walk a short distance to reach the canyon.

• Walking

  Once you arrive at the stop near Canyon Matka, follow the signs leading to the canyon. The trail to the beautiful view of Canyon Matka is well-marked. You will walk for about 15-20 minutes along a scenic path that offers stunning views of the canyon. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be rocky in some areas.
