Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the capital of Bokeo Province, Pak Beng. From Pak Beng, take Route 2 towards the southeast. Continue on this road for approximately 45 kilometers. Look for signs indicating B. Nam Yone. You will be driving through beautiful landscapes, so take your time and enjoy the scenery. Once you reach the coordinates C9JH+54, you will find signs leading to Nam Nyon Waterfall. The entrance to the waterfall area will be clearly marked.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a local bus from Pak Beng to the nearest town that services B. Nam Yone. Buses typically depart in the morning and may not run frequently, so it's advisable to check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in B. Nam Yone, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a local motorbike taxi to take you the remaining distance to Nam Nyon Waterfall. The fare for a tuk-tuk should be negotiated beforehand and will generally cost around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK.
Walking
If you are an adventurous traveler and prefer to walk from B. Nam Yone to Nam Nyon Waterfall, ensure you have a good map or GPS. The distance is about 2 kilometers from the town center, and the path is relatively clear. Follow the road leading towards the waterfall, but be prepared for some steep inclines and varying terrain. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as it can be hot and tiring.
