Getting There

Motorbike/Car

The easiest way to reach The Rock Viewpoint is by renting a motorbike or car. From Thakhek, head towards the Mekong River and take Avenue de la Paix south for about 1 kilometer. Turn left onto Route 12 and drive for approximately 5 kilometers, following the signs to The Rock Viewpoint. The entrance will be on your right. Parking is available at the site.
Public Transport

You can take a bus from Vientiane to Kong Lor, which passes by The Rock Viewpoint. The bus from Vientiane's Southern Bus Terminal departs at 10:00 AM and costs around 160,000 Kip ($8 USD). Alternatively, buses from Thakhek going north towards Vieng Kham can drop you off at Vieng Kham, where you can wait for the 2:00 PM bus to Na Hin, which passes The Rock Viewpoint. The second bus should cost no more than 20,000 Kip ($1 USD). From the drop-off point, a short tuk-tuk ride can take you to the viewpoint.
