Car
From Thakhek, take Route 12 heading north for approximately 80 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Khammouane Limestone Forest. Follow the signs for National Park. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will see a turnoff towards the Limestone Forest area. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the parking area for the viewpoint. Ensure you have a map or GPS device handy.
Public Transport
From Thakhek, take a local bus or shared taxi towards the Khammouane Limestone Forest area. These typically depart from the main bus station. The ride to the park entrance takes around 45 minutes to an hour. Negotiate the fare, which should be around 30,000 to 50,000 LAK. From the park entrance, hire a local guide or motorbike taxi for the remaining 10 kilometers to the viewpoint. This should cost approximately 30,000 to 50,000 LAK.
