Tuk-tuk
Tuk-tuks are readily available throughout Luang Prabang and are a convenient option for reaching the Old Quarter from further locations. From the Luang Prabang airport, a tuk-tuk ride to the Old Quarter typically costs around 65,000 LAK. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. For shorter trips within the Old Quarter, expect to pay around 20,000 LAK.
Taxi
Taxis are available at Luang Prabang International Airport with fixed fares to the city center. A taxi ride from the airport to the Old Quarter costs approximately $7 USD (152,000 LAK). Taxis can also be booked through apps like Loca or InDrive. Keep in mind that taxis may be less common within the Old Quarter itself due to the narrow streets.
