    Pha Katai Viewpoint is located off the main Thakhek Loop road, approximately 50 minutes from Xieng Liap Cave. From Thakhek, follow Route 12 east, then Route 1E north. The viewpoint is south of Nakai, before the bridge. Look for signs for the viewpoint; it's near Linsomphou Guesthouse. Entry fee is 20,000 kip, payable to a local resident.

    From Thakhek, hire a tuk-tuk to Pha Katai Viewpoint. Negotiate the price beforehand, as tuk-tuk drivers typically do not haggle. A ride from Thakhek bus station to accommodation (closer to the loop) is around 50,000 kip per person. Expect to pay more for a roundtrip to the viewpoint. Confirm the driver will wait for you while you visit the viewpoint.
