Walking
Phousi Hill is centrally located in Luang Prabang and easily accessible on foot from most areas in the town. From the Royal Palace Museum, walk directly across Sisavangvong Road to the base of the main stairway. Alternatively, from the Nam Khan River, find the stairway entrance on Phousi Road. The climb to the top takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
Tuk-tuk
If you prefer not to walk, a tuk-tuk can take you to the base of Phousi Hill. Negotiate the fare before starting your ride. A short trip from anywhere in the city center should cost between 10,000 and 15,000 Kip. From there, you can ascend the stairs to the summit.
