Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Luang Prabang, head towards the Mekong River. Start by walking down Sisavangvong Road, which is the main street lined with shops and restaurants. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the Mekong River. Turn left onto the riverside path. You will pass by several restaurants and local vendors. Keep walking along the river until you reach Ban Thongchalern. The Sunrise Hotel will be located along the river in this area. Look for the hotel signage, and you should arrive within 20-30 minutes from the city center.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops around the city center. Start from Sisavangvong Road and cycle towards the Mekong River. Once you reach the riverbank, turn left and continue cycling along the riverside path. This route is scenic and generally flat, making for an easy ride. The hotel is located in Ban Thongchalern, so keep an eye out for the hotel signs as you approach. It should take about 15-20 minutes to reach the hotel by bicycle.

  Find a Tuk-Tuk at one of the designated pickup points in the city center. Tell the driver you want to go to Sunrise Hotel in Ban Thongchalern. Most drivers will be familiar with the location. The journey should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on the traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.

• Boat

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider taking a boat ride along the Mekong River. Head to the nearest boat landing, and negotiate a fare for a short trip to Ban Thongchalern. The boat journey will give you a unique view of the area and will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the landing near the hotel, walk a short distance to reach Sunrise Hotel.
