Car
If you're driving from Vang Vieng, begin by heading south on Route 13. Continue for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Kaeng Nyui Waterfall, which is well-marked. Turn left and follow the road for another 3 kilometers, where you'll find a parking area near the waterfall. Note that the road can be bumpy, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Public Transportation
To visit Kaeng Nyui Waterfall via public transport, start at the Vang Vieng bus station. Look for a local minibus or songthaew heading towards the waterfall. The fare is typically around 20,000 LAK (Lao Kip) per person. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the waterfall entrance, which is a short walk from where they let you off.
Walking
After being dropped off by the songthaew, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the waterfall. Follow the path that leads through the forest, which is well-trodden. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the ground can be uneven and slippery in places.
