Car
If you are driving from Pakse City, head south on Route 13 for approximately 25 kilometers. After passing through the town of Champassak, continue for another 5 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Mani Cave, which is indicated by a local sign. Follow the unpaved road for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at the cave entrance. Remember to take care when driving on rural roads, as they may be narrow and bumpy.
Public Transportation
To reach Mani Cave via public transportation, take a bus or a shared minivan from Pakse to Champassak. The fare typically costs around 15,000 LAK. Once you arrive in Champassak, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a motorbike taxi to take you to Mani Cave for around 30,000 to 50,000 LAK, depending on your negotiation skills. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting the journey.
Walking
For those feeling adventurous and if you are already nearby, it's possible to walk from Champassak to Mani Cave. The distance is about 7 kilometers and will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. Head south on the main road, then look for signs directing you to the cave. Be prepared for the heat and bring water, as there are limited places to stop along the way.
