Car
If you are driving, head towards the center of Pakse. From the main roundabout, take the exit onto Route 13, heading north. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road, where you should take a left turn onto Route 16. Follow Route 16 for approximately 2 kilometers, and you will find Wat Luang on your right, located at the coordinates 15.1217568, 105.7977511. There is parking available near the temple.
Public Transportation
To reach Wat Luang by public transport, start by locating a local tuk-tuk or songthaew (shared taxi) in the center of Pakse. Inform the driver that you want to go to Wat Luang; they should be familiar with the location. The fare should be around 10,000 to 20,000 LAK per person, depending on your negotiation skills. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to pay attention to landmarks as you approach the temple, and ask the driver to drop you off directly at the temple entrance.
Walking
If you are staying close to the center of Pakse and prefer to walk, head north on Route 13. Walk for about 2 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. From there, take the left onto Route 16 and continue walking for another 1 kilometer. Wat Luang will be on your right. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the walk may take around 30-40 minutes.
