If you are driving, start from the center of Pakse city. Head southeast on Route 13 (also called the Thakhek Road) for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs leading to Wat Phousalao. The temple is located on a hill, and you will see a large Buddha statue from a distance. Follow the road up the hill until you reach the entrance of the temple. There is parking available near the entrance.

To reach Wat Phousalao by public transport, you can take a local tuk-tuk or songthaew from the center of Pakse. Head to the main bus station and find a tuk-tuk driver. Inform them that you want to go to Wat Phousalao. The fare is typically around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK (Laotian Kip) per person. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the temple.
