Getting There

Walking

From Vang Vieng town center, head west. Cross the Nam Song River via the toll bridge (4,000 Kip for pedestrians, 6,000 Kip for bicycles). Continue straight for approximately 3 km. Look for a sign indicating 'Pha Ngern Silvercliff View Point Mountain 400 meter to the parking'. Turn onto the dirt track and follow it to the parking area at the base of the trail. The hike to the top takes 2-3 hours. Entrance fee to the trail is 20,000 Kip.

Hire a tuk-tuk from Vang Vieng town center. Negotiate the fare beforehand; a round trip to the Pha Ngern Trailhead should cost between 20,000 to 30,000 LAK. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The tuk-tuk driver will typically wait for you while you hike. Entrance fee to the trail is 20,000 Kip.
