Walking
From Vang Vieng town center, head south towards the Vang Vieng Resort. Enter the resort and cross the bridge over the Nam Song River. Continue along the path for about 200 meters to the base of the cave. From there, ascend approximately 150-200 steps to reach the cave entrance. Note that there is a 5,000 LAK fee to enter the Vang Vieng Resort area and cross the bridge. The entrance fee to the cave itself is 15,000 LAK.
Tuk-tuk
Hire a tuk-tuk from Vang Vieng town center. Negotiate the fare to Tham Chang Cave, which should cost approximately 10,000-15,000 LAK per person. The tuk-tuk will drop you off near the entrance of Vang Vieng Resort. From there, follow the walking directions: cross the bridge (5,000 LAK fee) and ascend the steps to the cave (15,000 LAK entrance fee).
